Switzerland, 20th. April 2026
On April 19, 2026, SwissHerbs.Org hosted a successful public seminar on organic bio-herbal tea at the EOC Hospital “La Carità” in Locarno. The event formed part of the international “SwissHerbs Science Week – SSW2026” initiative promoting organic functional food and public health. Around 15 participants from several regions of Switzerland attended in person, with additional guests and two speakers joining online from China.
The seminar opened with a welcome address and was chaired by co-founder Armin Müller. Key presentations by TCM experts Massimo Vella, who also on behalf of Dr. med. Giuseppe Peloni, and Zhimin Wang, along with international speakers Prof. Yuhui Qiao and Prof. Yunguan Xi, highlighted the health benefits and global development of organic herbal tea. Swiss expert Franz Steiner contributed insights into the tradition of Swiss medicinal plants.
Dr. Qiyan Wang-Mueller, President and Founder of SwissHerbs.org, provided concise highlight summaries after each presentation. To connect traditional knowledge with organic resources, a group of participants joined Dr. Wang-Mueller and TCM expert Zhimin Wang in exploring local medicinal plants in surrounding Intragna in the mountainous Centovalli valley.
The event fostered valuable exchange between Eastern and Western herbal medicine traditions. SwissHerbs.org thanks all speakers, participants, and the EOC Locarno for their collaboration and support.
