Traditional herbal medicine has produced a historical body of knowledge on preventing and healing chronic and acute diseases. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been systematically documented for 2000 years and has become popular in Switzerland and Europe.
The “Swiss Chinese Herbal Medicine and Functional Food Innovation Center” was established on September, 21 2020, with support from the city of Zurich. A private research institute, its staff includes academics, executives, and producers from Switzerland, Europe, and China.
Our Scope
Our innovative research on herbal medicine and on functional food in Switzerland has kept a focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and on organic and agro-ecological planting and agriculture.
Our Activities
We lead conferences, workshops, seminars, and public events for Swiss, European, and Chinese practitioners. Our research, which is done in cooperation with Swiss and Chinese universities, is publicly and privately funded. Our services include consultancy on agro and bio practices. We have also introduced the herbal products of established companies in China to the Swiss and European markets.
